I started off the logo by sketching out several potential ideas. Initially, I wanted to play around with the letter shape and create a chopped up looking design but the details kind of get lost in a smaller scale. I took the idea of combining the letters of my initials together to form the basis of the logo.
As I experimented with the designs, I realized that my initials put together looked a lot like the Chinese character for my middle name, Wing.
Using this idea, I created a logo that was derived from the character while putting in my own touches.
The purple dot makes the logo pop more and it gives the brand identity an accent which can be applied to various designs.
I chose purple because it's my favorite color.

I used a modified version of Gill Sans for the logotype and Futura for the branding name.
